Born in Baghdad, Iraq, and fleeing the country amidst a war in 1980, Saeed Younan found his refuge in music. Today, Saeed is a world-class globe-trotting DJ, a sought-after remix producer, and the head of his very own Younan Music. Over the last two decades, the veteran producer has been a key player in the underground dance movement, and a true artist in the global dance scene.As a DJ, Saeed’s performances are renowned for his technical abilities and precision. He effortlessly weaves and morphs tracks together into a seamless blend of house and techno. All the while building momentum by allowing the music to ebb and swell. It’s no surprise that Carl Cox chose Saeed as his go-to support act for all his US tour dates, including his Las Vegas residency, and the legendary closing of SPACE Ibiza (September 2016). Saeed has played some of the world’s biggest stages including massive festivals, EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Resistance stage, Electric Forest, Escapade, Digital Dreams, BPM Festival (7 years in a row) and headlining Montreal Olympic Stadium, performing in front of 27,000 fans. In testimony to his worldwide appeal, Saeed was nominated one of America’s Top 100 DJ’s, entering “America’s Best DJ” top 50 poll, six years in a row (DJ Times). Voted top 20 best Tech-house artists of the year, 3 years in a row (Traxsource). He’s had back-to-back #1 singles on Beatport & Traxource. His work with Celeda “The Underground’ was the #1 dance single on the Billboard charts. He was nominated “best breakthrough artist” (DanceStar Awards). Developing a flair for identifying unique sounds, he has become known for his ability to diversify across genres, emphasising the unconventional. Spending years meticulously honing his craft, Odd Mob has firmly planted himself at the forefront of electronic music’s future. Odd Mob broke through with the ubiquitous 2014 track ‘Is It A Banger’, a track that resonated with Australian listeners, charting in triple j’s ‘Hottest 100’ and has since amassed over 7 million streams across platforms. The boundary-pushing producer showed no signs of slowing down, subsequently releasing tracks ‘Intrinsic’, and ‘Lithium’, which saw Odd Mob surpass well over 20 million streams across platforms, not to mention ‘Intrinsic’ collecting a nomination for an AIR (Australian Independent Labels) award in 2019. Odd Mob’s most recent single ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’ has been a huge leap back into the spotlight with a slew of AAA tastemaker support from the likes of Dom Dolla, Disclosure, Diplo, Chris Lake, ACRAZE, and John Summit, to name a few, all showcasing this record in their sets in the past few months, resulting in an online treasure hunt from fans to find the record. CATZ ‘N DOGZFriday, December 13th18+ Catz ‘n Dogz is the duo of Grzegorz ‘Greg’ Demiańczuk and Wojciech ‘Voitek’ Tarańczuk, both DJs and producers of electronic music. They are from Szczecin, where they met and began their music career. In 2003, they played Szczecin ABC radio, and after work they organized small events focused on modern dance music. They initially went by the name 3 Channels, under which they released their first songs. Their music has appeared on European labels, beginning with Trenton Records, before releasing material with Crosstown Rebels and Trapez Ltd. Their early songs are much more raw then their current efforts, which have moved in the direction of hypnotic minimalism. The sound of 3 Channels is difficult to characterize, consisting of single, looped music, scratches, and metallic clashes lightened by the warmer sounds of synthesizer and sampled vocals. Their real breakthrough came with the remix of Who’s Afraid of Detroit by Claude Von Stroke, a popular producer of techno and the owner of two record labels – Dirtybird and Mothership. Von Stroke was attracted to the remix of his work and offered to collaborate with the Polish DJs.

We return to the Electric Jungle for another full night of drum & bass featuring curated selections from experienced Dj’s in the heart of downtown RVA at Ember Music Hall. ECHO BROWN (The North Quarter / 1985 / Shogun Audio) USA Echo Brown is a leading figure in an impressive new wave of North American Drum & Bass talent. Currently residing in Raleigh, North Carolina, Echo jumped on to the scene with daring effect in 2020, debuting his distinct lo-fi signature sound on Lenzman’s The North Quarter as well as other premium imprints such as Shogun Audio, and Alix Perez’s 1985 Music. At the beginning of 2021 the young producer made his mark with the well-rounded ‘Struggles EP’, which led to international support from artists and DJs alike. In February 2022, Echo released his second release on The North Quarter – “Midnight Static EP”. With new projects currently in production, Echo Brown has both fans and peers looking forward to his unique take on Drum & Bass music. He has been featured on UKF, BBC Radio, Rinse FM, and more. This is his first ever RVA appearance. JAYBEE (Flight Pattern /Liquid V / Chronic / Intrigue Music / Good Looking Records / Mac ll / Innerground) RVA Internationally known DJ / Producer Jaybee has an astounding number of releases on the most prolific drum and bass labels to date. Incorporating his diverse background of music into creative DJ sets woven with beats, breaks, basslines and scratches, this talented artist’s performances are not to be missed. His releases receive regular support from DNB heavy hitters like DJ Randall, Bryan Gee, DJ Marky, Calibre, Grooverider, DJ Storm, dBridge, LTJ Bukem, DJ Vapour, A-Sides, and Random Movement. JOANNA O. (Turnstyleonline.com / 2 Tuff DC) RVA DJ Joanna O. has been mixing music for ravers since 1998. She is a USA DNB DJ who has an infectious vibe both on the dancefloor and behind the decks. Her sound can best be described as soulful liquid vibes with a hint of jungle flavors. She prefers to “speak with her hands” by mixing well. Her FM Radio residency Frequency airs weekly on Saturday nights on 97.3 FM WRIR. The show has been a staple on the airwaves in Richmond since 2005. As an event promoter, she has worked tirelessly to support the community of DJs, performers, and dancers at some of the East Coast’s most renowned dance music venues and events. As a DJ, anyone who’s ever been on her dance floors can attest that her sets have always been pure fire.
